Gandi is a domain seller that seems to okay. Their interface isn’t bad at all and allows you to manage multiple domains at once. They offer free whois privacy, dns and email hosting. Their customer support seems a little slow and they don’t offer a contact phone number for customer support. Often times people on their board have problems reaching customer support on a timely manner.

Gandi services is perfect for personal user, because they give you free email (forwarding and pop), free blog, free 2-pages website, free whois privacy and free dns hosting. Their prices is quite high, US$15, but with all those services included, it is reasonable. The drawback is their support do not use online ticket system, like kayako, etc. And not 24/7. Since they offer web hosting too, the support should be 24/7.

Gandi is my registrar for more than 5 years now. It’s reliable and trustable. They’re not the cheapeast but for US$3 more than others you benefit from many services included such as a ssl certificate, mail, blog, website creator,…Customer service is efficient and qualitative !
Someone recommand them to me at the start and I do the same now. They didn’t do any marketing ever, everything works with the word of mouth only. This is my word

I heard of Gandi.net back in the days when they and triple0 were one of the lest expensive registrars. Gandi’s been around for a while, but I don’t believe I’ve ever registered a domain with them.
I’m not here to bad mouth Gandi and get all nasty. I’m just here to share my experiece with a recent promotion Gandi was running. I submitted a few emails to their Customer Service department, and I received responses very quickly - within 12 hours - with what I believe to be a standard ‘canned’ response. Their response really didn’t satisfy my question, so thinking I didn’t make myself clear, I responded with a more clear & direct email. Since we exchanged a few emails within the day I figured this was a good sign. Now, I realize we’re only coming up on 24 hours, but since my last emails, I’ve yet to receive a response, and probably never will. Below is a slightly modified version of the email I sent them. I’m still waiting on a definitive answer to my questions because as far as I’m concerned, and as far as I know, I followed the proper procedures but couldn’t use the code. Odd
Like many other fortunate individuals, providence was on my side when I
received two valid promotion codes: One I was able to get myself, and
another from my wife.
Just so we’re clear:
I was not trying to generate new promotion codes.
I already had promotion codes before Gandi stopped giving them out.
According to the FAQ posted here (https://ten.gandi.net/faq), codes
distributed between March 1st through 5th must be dedeemed by March 31st. Below is an excerpt:
“How do I use my promo code?
Once you have your promo code, you have until March 31st to log into
gandi.net and to choose the domain name of your choice. On the summary page
of your order, you may enter the promo code. Once you have done this you
will not need to pay for the domain in question.
How long do I have to use my promo codes?
All of the promo codes must be used between the 1st and the 31st of March
2010.”
My wife & I attempted to use our promotion codes between 10PM and 1130PM
Eastern Standard time on March 31st, which is before the deadline according
to the FAQ above. However, on the summary page when we attempted to redeem
the codes, the Gandi system reported we had invalid promotion codes.
Is that normal?
Should the codes have worked between 10PM and 1130PM Eastern Standard Time
on March 31st?
This situation is akin to someone visiting a store at 9PM that’s scheduled
to close at 10PM, but upon their arrival, the store is already closed.
Is that the way the Gandi.Net system and this promotion is supposed to work?
Even though we already received promotion codes between March 1st and March
31st, and I attempted to redeem the codes between March 1st and March 31st,
the Gandi system would not allow us to do so.
Is that the appropriate and expected behavior?
I asked them to please answer the questions and of course, detail where we went wrong so that we can be
sure to follow the appropriate procedures in the future. Naturally, if they determined, that there was a systemic malfunction that night and we did follow the correct process & procedure, I expect they would reach out to me so that we can get this squared up.
With so many positive reviews, I expected at least average or slightly better than average service. While this situation isn’t critical, it has had a negative impact on my view and personal opinion of Gandi.net.

GANDI NEEDS TO LEAVE PLAYING GOD UP TO THEIR GOD GANDI..

Excellent registrar with eye catching website. Best and very responsive DNS management I have ever seen. Only drawback is for your account protection you have only one login password that’s it. They publish your user ID in WHOIS data base which is not good. Customer support is very good.

GANDI is best registrar to date. My ranking to registrars on my experience basis is as follow 1.GANDI 2.Network Solutions 3.DOTSTER 4.Domainpeople 5.DD24 6.JOKER.
I am avoiding NetSol because of their High prices. Go for GANDI. I bet you will never disappoint.

My worst registration experience to date (and I’m registering domains since 1994…)
I came to them because I was annoyed by my usual registrar user interface, which is ridden of spam trying to upsell you everything.
Their front page is clean and their “no bullshit ™” policy was captivating.
I registered 5 domains with them: 2 .info and 3 .it.
While registering the .it I was asked to give them my passport or ID card number. Strange…, I thought. Usually in Italy you have to provide your taxpayer code (codice fiscale) when you register a .it domain, but I though it would be the case that being gandi.net a France based company they needed a proof of my Italian citizenship. So I gave them my passport number.
The two .info domains got through very quickly without any problem. The 3 .it domains miserably failed. No feedback from them. Just a “Failed” status in my “Orders in process list”. It goes without saying that my credit card had already been charged at that point.
I sent them mail and the next day they answered that I needed to provide my taxpayer code. Ah, ah! Here we go, take my codice fiscale and please, do update your provisioning so that it ask for it and not my useless passport or ID card number. “It will be done with the next web interface we are going to release, sir”. When? Who knows…
At this point one of the .it domains got through.
What about the other two? Interesting point: one is now both “registered” and “order in process” (must be a bad case of provisioning schizophrenia), the third one is still “Failed”, but while it initially didn’t had any detail of how and why it faild, the causes of the failure are now much clearer:
2302 : Object exists (540 Attribute value is not unique; DOMAIN ALREADY EXISTS [mydomainame.it])
Beware that according the .it Italian registry whois service my domain is still “available”.
I’ve already sent them 4 e-mail, and i got answer to only one:
“Please accept our apologies for the delay.
…
Concerning xxxxxx.it, I have transferred your support request to a specialist in our team who will look into your issue shortly.
We will be getting back to you on this issue as soon as possible.
….”
4 days have passed, and I’m still waiting.
No answers. Not even a “Sorry, we are in deep sh.t and we are digging into it! Please, wait.”. Nothing at all.
It must also be said that they don’t even have a “ticketing” system. I wasn’t given a ticket number for my problems. Only a nice mail exchange or a form to fill in their web site. You don’t have a single place where you can view the whole history of your support request, questions and answers.
Bottom line?
I will never ever more use their services even if their web interface is captivating and their hosting service looks very interesting.

To be honest I must say, that after the initial horrible experience I had with Gandi and after having interact with their customer service more deeply (quite a work, but it was worth) and having being assured that they are working hard to fix some of their gotchas (first of all their ticketing system), I’m starting to become more positive toward them. So, a message to the Judge: the jury is still out, please wait…

Gandi costs a little more than most other registrars but you get what you pay for: their customer support is prompt and responsive, their website is simple and clear with no upselling, and managing one’s domains is easy.
It appears as though they’ve added a ticketing system, and I’ve had some queries handled quickly by Level 1 staff while others are escalated to Level 2 and Level 3 staff as needed (for example, when the .org registry was undergoing maintenance and certain operations with .org domains were failing with cryptic errors).
I’ve mainly used them for domain registration (and have been enormously satisfied) but have been looking at their hosting offerings as well.

Although support isn’t usually required, but when it is(like you lock yourself out of your account, or maybe someone accidentally sends you 50 domains by accident), support with Gandi takes ages. I would say that they have the worse response time for tickets of any provider I have used since 1998.

Gandi.net is running throw a bunch of scum criminals. they don’t care about you once the got their money. I am waiting since 3 weeks for a reply of gandi cos the access to my domain is forbidden and the answer from gandi is: nothing. they don’t give a fuck about it.
I want to transfer my domain to another registrar but my domain is locked. its been over 2 months now and I still can’t transfer my domain and the answer from gandi: yes the don’t reply. you can’t wait for weeks
I am not happy with them and I don’t recommend anyone to support them. there are many better and cheaper registrar with a lot better support teams online and on the phone.

I have been in the IT market since 1995. Some weeks ago, I decided to move some of my website to gandi.net to test their services. I was quite optimistic and enthusiast, because of their services (lots of rare extensions), and their catch-phrase “no bullshit”. Well, my first experience was (it is still!) awful.
Their customer service does not exist. You will always have to wait from 12 to 30 hours to get an answer (about very easy topic, such as renewal duration, offers…), and you’ll be lucky if you receive a standard reply. You can’t manage your support request nor change/add anything. Just wait.
That’s not all. As soon as they registered my first domain I lost my privacy whois. It’s incredible because with that national authority, the privacy feature is set BY DEFAULT!
In the meanwhile, the domain was not even in my gandi-panel, therefore I coudn’t do anything except contacting them. And wait, wait, wait.
Talking about the panel. Honestly, it is quite awkward, you have to learn how to deal with it and how to manage their weird “handle” system. Furthermore, in the whois they use your username (not a very good think, talking about security).
They have a wide range of service. If you don’t have any problem you could probably have a long and happy honeymoon with them. But when the problems start……….. To sum up, I would say, they have some interesting feature, but too much bullshit.

Their customer support is AWFUL. I have had lots of problem. They do not answer to help request. Days, weeks, sometimes MONTHS of waiting. The panel is dumb and complicated with no sense. The only good thing is the wide range of extensions they have.
In one phrase: do not chose them!
